Modding the Corsair Nautilus – Perfecting Perfection?

The Corsair Nautilus 500 External Liquid Cooling system has received rave reviews from many, many reviewers, including myself. I’ve had the Nautilus installed in my system since I got it for review I liked it so much, it’s relatively quiet, and performs very well. I’ve built my own liquid cooling systems and have reviewed many others, but I have always come back to the Nautilus. I don’t like noise and I found that after a while having the Nautilus on high became annoying to me, so I felt that needed changed, and while I was at it I thought about switching the rad out as well. This isn’t quite the hardcore mod, but I did get to rip apart the Nautilus, and get to use my Dremel, drill and other tools while I was at it. Direct Die Cooling

Ok, so I lost my hard drive last year and lost a whole lot of pictures….

I did some experimenting with Direct Die cooling last year, I fabricated my own ‘water blocks’ out of solid plexi and cooled an Athon XP CPU directly with no heatsink in between, hence the name direct die cooling.. the liquid was flowing directly onto the die of the CPU Core, no copper bases no nothing…

I used 3m HFE7100 fluid for the experiement that I intend to renew shortly.. but here are the pics that I manged to find that where not lost…

Clear Hard Drive Mod

Well it’s time to add my Clear Hard Drive mod to the site, this mod has been featured on many sites all over the internet. I went through a lot of work for this mod. I didn’t just slap a piece of plexi onto a hard drive, I examined the hard drive and went about it logically and found that layers of plexi would work best.  Some of you may have seen this before, but to others it is new. To those that have seen it before, I have added a bunch of new pictures that I took recently, they are much better quality than the first set. The movies are still there of course…
