ARCTIC RC Pro Cooler for Ram and RC Turbo Module PWM Review

Today I’ve got a double review for you of two ARCTIC products that can work separately but work better overall when combined. The products are the ARCTIC RC Pro Cooler for Ram and RC Turbo Module PWM and they are to help keep your ram cool. The RC Pro Cooler for Ram is basically a heatsink you can apply to bare ram while the RC Turbo Module PWM is a double fan attachment that helps to further cool things off.

Kingston HyperX Fan Review

Kingston recently introduced the HyperX Fan to compliment their HyperX line of ram, but it can be purchased separately for use with any ram, and they were kind enough to send one over for review. Normally this kind of thing is not very useful really, in my experience with ram coolers they tend not to work very well, but the HyperX Fan is truly an exception. The HyperX Fan works, and works very well, it’s easy to install and the bright blue LEDs will add a bit of color to your case. So read on to check it out and learn just how well it performs…

Arctic RC Memory Cooler Review

RAM module heatspreaders are pretty common place with most quality memory. Heatspreaders allow the memory to reach higher clock speeds and voltages by dissipating the extra heat created by the memory. To reach even higher overclocks, the memory may need to be actively cooled or something like the Arctic Cooling Arctic RC heatspreaders.

Arctic Cooling uses a radical long fin design which allows greater heat dissipation and provides improved airflow around the spreader. According to Arctic Cooling, these heatspreaders allow temperature drops of 34% from conventional heatspreaders.

So let’s see how this heatspreader performs. Let’s get started…….

Review: Scythe KAMA WING SILVER Aluminum Memory Heatsink

November 16, 2007

When we think of cooling our PC components, we tend to focus in on the CPU and the GPU. Some of the other components that can be cooled to improve performance and preserve life expectancy include the hard drives and memory. Recently, I reviewed the Ultra Aluminum Hard Drive Cooler with Heatpipes which helps keep the hard drive cool and quiet.

Today, we will be looking at a new product from Scythe, the Kama-Wing, a passive cooler for PC memory. This heatspreader is unique in its appearance which features a set of wings that come off at an 80 degree angle from the memory area of the spreaders. Lets see if the Kama-Wing actually improves the temperature of our memory.

There are a slew of companies that make products to keep our CPU, Chipset and VGA cards cool, most people just focus on those things mainly for cooling, but what about your ram? Yes most companies now provide heatspreaders on their ram but when you are overclocking it, sometimes that heatspreader is just not good enough, and may actually hamper your success at overclocking and even overall system stability. Yes there are a very few companies that make active ram cooling solutions, and today for review I have a new product from Cool It, it is aptly named the ‘Ram Fan’ and that’s pretty much what it is, a small fan that actually mounts directly to your ram and keeps it cool…

A cool ram chip is a happy ram chip, we all know this to be true of pretty much any other component as well in your system, they all like to be cool. Many options exist out there for cooling your ram chips, but today for review I have one such product for review today that works really well and looks great too, it is the JetArt Ram HeatSinks (CK5000). These heatsinks are massive compared to others on the market today and look to be able to cool very well if overall thermal transfer area counts for anything, which I think it does. Read on to learn more…
