Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows

So I have and have gotten quite a few games for the PC that are compatible with the Xbox controllers, sure I could use an aftermarket controller but I've tried them and they don't seem to be truly compatible with the games, so I decided to grab something that might help me with this problem. Seeing as I have an Xbox and the controllers I figured why not get the Wireless receiver that will let me use my Xbox controllers with my PC games.

Today I've got a short review about a little product that I picked up recently, it's the Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows and it does exactly as it's supposed to do, it allows me to use my Xbox 360 Wireless controllers with my Windows PC games. It's a great little product that I can easily recommend anyone getting if they wish to use their own Xbox controllers with Windows...

A Better Look at Things:

The Wireless Gaming Receiver comes in the wonderful sealed clamshell style packaging that you've got to use the jaws of life on to get open.. fun-fun

Inside we find a driver disc, instruction manual and the receiver itself.

The receiver is small, it's got one button on it and an LED under it. It's USB so there's a USB connection on the end to plug into your computer, and it's even got a rubber non-slip base as well. The receiver also has a nice long cable so you can put it most anywhere you need to.

Installation, Testing and Comparison:

It does come with a driver disc but I had no need for it, I'm using Windows Vista Ultimate X64 and as soon as I plugged the receiver into my USB port it was recognized and installed, easy to do no problems at all.

Connecting your controllers to your PC is easy as well, the button on the receiver is the connect button like you have on the Xbox and controllers, just press it and the buttons on your controllers to connect them to each other and in a few seconds you're ready to play.

You can connect up to four wireless controllers and four wireless headsets as you would with the Xbox 360.

I played a few games using my Xbox controllers on the PC and they all worked perfectly fine for me, no problems at all.

Summary and Comments:

What more can I say, it works as it should, and it's inexpensive. If you like to use the Xbox controllers now you've got a cheap way to use them with your PC gaming as well.

DragonSteelMods gives the Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows a 5 out of 5 score and our Recommended Award as well.

Pros:

-Long cable

-Works perfectly

-Allows you to use Xbox controllers on Windows

-Inexpensive

Cons:

-None that I could find

Don't forget we've got a discount code for you as well for 5% off anything at Budget gadgets.. (* and just so you know we get no commission or anything like that from them)
