The Core Cord Organizer

Today for review I've got a product that I'm not so sure about... It's of The Core Cord Organizer from CableOrganizer.com, and while it might be a useful little gadget, I still think it's a relatively pointless one. On the other hand, there might be people out there who have a use for it and think that it's a great product. For what it is it works as it should, but meh, I don't know, it's one of those products that is just there, one of those ones that I really don't think we need...

A Better Look at Things:

The Core Cord Organizer comes in a plastic clamshell style package, not much to see really.

The product consists of a piece of hard rubber with slits on both ends, and that's about it, it reminds me of a spool of thread really.

Installation, Testing and Comparison:

I used my Radius RadHeadphones with the Core and my Zune. I was going to use my Future Sonics Atrio M5 earphones, but I found the slit on the Core Cord Organizer is very tight, and the cords of my Atrios are thick, it would have required considerable fore to get the cords through the slits and I didn't want to risk breaking a $200 set of earphones to review a $4 product...

There's not much to installation, just slide the cord through the slit on one end and then wind your cord around the center and then slide the remaining length of cord through the slit on the other end to secure it.

That's it, there's nothing to it.

The Core Cord Organizer does hold the cord tightly, and it seems well made, then again it is just a solid piece of rubber...

Summary and Comments:

Not much to say about this product really, it works , it holds the cord of your headphones when not in use and you can use it to shorten the length of the cords if need be, but you'll have this big spool looking thing hanging from your neck... For storage it works well to keep the cords from getting tangled.

DragonSteelMods gives the Core Cord Organizer a 4 out of 5 score.

Pros:

+Simple, easy to use

+Seems well made

+Stops cords from tangling

Cons:

-Do we really need something like this?

-Can't really use headphones with thick cords
