I've got, in my opinion, the best laptop case on the market today, at least for protection of my laptop. Recently Otterbox released an accessory kit for their 7030 Laptop Case, which allows you to now carry pens, pencils, business cards and documents easily inside your Otterbox 7030 laptop case.

It's a two piece kit that attaches with velcro to the inside of the lid of the case, the velcro makes it easy to install and remove if not needed. Having it in two parts is useful as well, you can grab the documents folder section and you've got a nice little carrier for your folders and papers. The second section holds your writing instruments and has a little pocket for business cards, both sections are made of durable nylon so they should last as long as the case. So now, not only will the 7030 case protect your laptop from the rigors of daily life but also your documents as well.
