Quote:
" It’s been a while since I’ve reviewed any CPU coolers here on TestFreaks, not sure why, but I’ve got one now from Evercool called the Silent Shark. This cooler is big and it includes two 120mm fans that help to keep you CPU cool. The cooler also has a very unique feature that allows the user to angle the front fan up and outwards letting it clear the ram slots allowing you to use ram with larger style heatsinks on it. The cooler performs very well overall so read on to learn more and see just how it performs against another cooler…."

Phanteks Launches PH-TC12DX U-Type Dual Tower CPU Cooler Series

December 19, 2012

I love Phanteks coolers, yes they’re great performing but what I think I like the most is the colors they come in! Really it’s nice to see something other than ‘silver’ in color and you can get red, blue, black or the old silver with Phanteks coolers. The new PH-TC12DX U-Type will be priced at $55 for the old silver color or $60 for red, blue or black colors. I think it’s the worth the extra few dollars for coloring. I’ve got the full PR and lots of pictures for you of the new coolers…

Phanteks launches PH-TC12DX, a U-Type dual tower heat-sink with four 6mm heat-pipes allows for optimal airflow and cooling. PH-TC12DX’s 6mm heat-pipes are linearly aligned and developed to have the least amount of air and thermal resistance. Incorporating P.A.T.S and C.P.S.C Technologies, PH-TC12DX delivers better heat dissipation and heat transfers. PH-TC12DX includes dual PH-F120HP PWM Premium fans to allow for higher performance and/or silent operation.

Features:

Patented. P.A.T.S (Physical Antioxidant Thermal Shield) will greatly increase the cooling performance and reliability while deflecting other thermal radiation from other heat sources, such as the GPU, South Bridge, North Bridge, etc. P.A.T.S, ran at a long period, will display significantly better results in an enclosure, closed environment, than a tech station, open environment. In extreme conditions, PATS is able to withstand temperatures of up to 200 degrees Celsius. P.A.T.S is environmental friendly and non-toxic.

Patented. C.P.S.C (Cold Plasma Spraying Coating Technology) is a brand new technologic forming deposit that displaces heat onto corresponding metals at a quicker rate. With this technology, the Phanteks PH-TC12DX enhances thermal conductivity on the soldered surfaces of the heat-pipes through the copper deposits.

Phanteks PH-F120HP PWM Premium fans uses UFB (Updraft Floating Balance) bearing, Nine blades and MAFO (Maelstrom Air-Fort Optimization) drive system to achieve massive airflow and perfect dynamic balance. The PH-F120HP fans with the support of the anti-acoustic rubber pad and rubber bar produces low level dB(A) and eliminates vibration. With PWM functions built in, PH-F120HP fans allows you to set speed adjustments for either performance and/or silent operation.

Compatibility

PH-TC12DX Series are compatible with Intel LGA 2011/1155/1156/1366/775 and AMD FM1/AM3+/AM3/AM2+/AM2

Phanteks PH-TC14CS_RD CPU Cooler Review

Up for review today is another CPU cooler, this one is the latest and greatest from a company called Phanteks. I’ve not had the pleasure of reviewing their products before so this is a treat for me. The cooler is the PH-TC14CS_RD where the RD means red, yes the cooler is red in color but there are several other color options available. The PH-TC14CS is a rather beefy cooler and it comes with two 140mm fans making it even larger in size, but it’s meant to be a top-notch performer and I can tell you that it is easily keeping my Core i7 2600K cool even while overclocked. The cooler can be used in different configurations offering several mounting options in your case, one of them is the ability to use one fan on top allowing you to use larger style ram in your system. This Phanteks cooler is well made and it performs very well, so read on to learn more…

Noctua NH-C14 CPU Cooler Review

Noctua is a company known for making quality and well
performing CPU Coolers, some of the best on the market today surely. They’ve
recently introduced a new cooler called the NH-C14 which gets its name from
the ‘C’ shape that the cooler is. The NH-C14 comes equipped with two Noctua NF-P14
140mm fans for excellent cooling performance. The two fans are mounted, one on
top and one on the bottom, and you can configure it however you like. If you
need more room beneath the cooler then just use the top fan. The NH-C14 is made
to be versatile and have good performance at the same time.

CoolIt Vantage A.L.C. CPU Cooler

Today for review I’ve got the CoolIt Vantage A.L.C. CPU
Cooler. The Vantage is an all-in-one liquid cooler, it’s a closed loop system
so the end-user doesn’t have to doing any kind of maintenance on it. I’ve put
it up against the Noctua NH-U12P air cooler and while the Vantage doesn’t
outperform it, it does well. So read on.

Silenx Effizio EFZ-80HA2 Compact CPU Cooler Review

The CPU cooler is probably one of the
most important parts of your system, and a lot of people just deal
with the stock cooler. A cool CPU is a happy CPU, but most decent
coolers are large and they just won’t fit in all cases, especially if
you want to use a microATX case or maybe an HTPC case. A small cooler
is what you need, and the one I have today might be perfect for a
situation where a small but good performing CPU cooler is needed.
It’s from Silenx and it’s called the Effizio EFZ-80HA2 Compact CPU
Cooler. So read on to learn more about it and see how it performs…
