Sharkoon FireGlider Mouse Review

April 17, 2013
By

The mouse should be a part of you when you’re using your computer, especially when it comes to gaming as you want the mouse to respond to the slightest movements or you could end up dead! Not all mice are created equal of course and a good mouse is a good thing to have. A good mouse should allow you to adjust many of the settings like DPI and re-assigning the buttons. A good mouse should let you customize it and maybe even give you the ability to store profiles in it. A good mouse is what I have for review today, it’s the Sharkoon FireGlider and it’s a laser gaming mouse with plenty of things to adjust and customize including the physical weight of it and pretty much everything else I mentioned above. So read on to learn more…

Logitech Gets Back to its Roots, Intros New PC Gaming Lineup

March 20, 2013

Logitech_G700s

Logitech used to be all about PC gaming, but then they expanded and sort of forgot about gaming it seems. Well maybe didn’t forget, but more pushed it off to the side as it were. Now it seems they’re getting back to their roots with the introduction of the ‘G’ series line of PC gaming peripherals including mice, keyboard and headsets.

Today Logitech announced the new Logitech® G line, reflecting its new approach to PC gaming. The new lineup includes six redesigned mice and keyboard favorites and two new headsets.

Using infrared technology, Logitech studied the interaction between hand and device during gameplay. As a result, gamers can expect to see several advancements in the new Logitech G lineup.

To improve durability and comfort, advanced surface materials were added to strategic tactile zones discovered through testing. For heavy contact zones, Logitech has added fingerprint-resistant coatings, while palm areas feature a hydrophobic coating to help keep your hands from sticking. Depending on the model, the mice also have a soft or dry grip for increased comfort and control. The two keyboards feature a double UV coating on the keys for extra durability and long life, and a fingerprint-resistant coating on the faceplate.

In addition, the Logitech G100s Optical Gaming Mouse and G400s Optical Gaming Mouse feature exclusive Delta Zero sensor technology. Optimized for high-accuracy cursor control, this new sensor technology accurately responds to hand movements. Plus, all of the new Logitech G mice have low-friction polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) feet, which reduce drag for faster motions, smoother cursor movements and improved accuracy.

The lineup includes:

The mouse has a durable hydrophobic coating on the palm area that helps keep your palm from sticking to the mouse, and dry grip on the sides ensures a steady hand. You can elevate your in-game skills with 13 programmable controls that let you program single actions, complex macros with multiple keystrokes, repeating and user-defined delays, when you download Logitech Gaming Software (LGS). Cherry ZF 5000 Wireless Laser Mouse Review

March 1, 2013
By

When you think of the company Cherry you think of mechanical keyboards or at least I do as that’s what they’re most known for. Did you know that they also make many other products besides mechanical keyboard switches? Today for review I have the Cherry ZF 5000 wireless laser gaming mouse that features adjustable DPI of 800 and 1600DPI and of course a laser tracking sensor for the best possible movement detection. The mouse is very unique looking, it kind of looks like a bug honestly, but it works very well and I’ve become rather fond of it. When it comes to wireless mice it’s hard to find a decent one, especially when it comes to gaming, but I’ve had no issues with it at all, tracking is excellent, it responds to any movements with no lag that I noticed. So read on to learn more…

Mionix Propus 380 Gaming Mousepad Review

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the mousepad is
one of those things that many people take for granted or overlook actually.
It’s one of those things that people just don’t seem to care about. People have
come to understand that a good mouse and a good keyboard can enhance their
computing experience but then they’ll still use that cheap free mousepad. A
good mousepad is not only good for gaming but for also everyday use. I’ve
tested many pads in my time and the technology seems to be getting better and
better with new combinations of materials being used to create an excellent
mousing surface.

Mionix has sent me over their new gaming mousepad called the
Propus 380 and it’s big, I like big pads though so it’s a nice fit for me. The
pad is unique looking in both its shape and aesthetic looks with a flake
metallic surface. The pad is certainly one of the best I’ve come across and
it’s inexpensive as well.
