HTC Audio Jack to 3.5mm Plug Adapter

HTC Audio Jack to 3.5mm Plug Adapter

We've got lots of phone accessories for review, and I've tried to find ones that are truly useful and not just gimmicky 'stuff' to use a few times and then be left in a drawer somewhere. There is a popular trend lately with cellphones, they don't have a standard audio jack on them but instead use a mini-USB connection, why this is I'm not quite sure as they're aren't many headphones that have a USB connection. The majority of good quality headphones use a standard 3.5mm jack but unless you get an adapter you can't use them with your cellphone. There needs to be some sort of standard when it comes to these things, why do companies insist on making life more difficult for the end user?

Today for review our friends at USBFever have sent me over the HTC Audio Jack to 3.5mm Plug Adapter. It's a very simple device but yet it's extremely useful and a must-have accessory for your HTC phone if you wish to use your own headphones with your new phone.

A Better Look at Things

:

The HTC Audio Adapter comes in a bulk style package, nothing special, a ziplock bag actually.

One end you've got the mini-USB connection and the other has the 3.5mm jack, not much to it. It does seem well made, the cable is rather thick but yet still flexible.

Installation, Testing and Comparison

There's really no comparison for this device as I don't have anything to compare it too at the moment.

I've got an AT&T Tilt, installation is easy, plug the adapter into your phone and then your headphones into the adapter, all done, very easy. My headphones or earbuds of choice are the SteelSeries/Icemat Siberia that I reviewed a little while ago. (Review of Siberia HERE ). It worked perfectly the first time I used it with no problems at all.

What more can I say about this? It works and works well, some people might not like the short length, but I think it's perfect as the cords on my headphones are very long anyway so if the adapter was longer then it would just make my headphones that much longer.

Summary:

There are many gadgets and things for cellphones, some are useless and some are things that you must-have, and the HTC Audio Adapter from USBFever is one of those must-have things.

Until all of these cellphone companies finally site down and come to a standardization system we'll be stuck having to buy things like this adapter, it's nice to know that USBFever offers many things like this at very reasonable prices.

It works well, very low-priced at $4.99 on sale right now, so I suggest you hop on over and grab one before the sale is over!

DragonSteelMods gives the HTC Audio Jack to 3.5mm Plug Adapter a 5 out of 5 score and our Recommended Award as well.
