DLO Jam Jacket for iPhone Review

Unboxing

This DLO item is packaged in a black box, similar to the HipCase. One side features a plastic window which displays the front of the Jam Jacket with a cardboard facsimile of the iPhone inside of it.

The opposite side of the packaging displays a picture of the Jam Jacket along with an inset picture featuring the Headset Management feature. The cover opens outward and reveals some of the highlights and key features of the case.

The case comes in four colors – black, pink, blue and frost. The review sample is the black one. Once the case is in your hands, the first thing one notices is the quality and the gripability of the case. There is little chance that the iPhone would slip out of one’s hands when secured in the Jam Jacket.

Another nice feature of the silicone is that it is lint free, also the Jam Jacket has a textured grip on the sides for extra safety.

The iPhone’s select button is marked by a raised square over a circle.

Cut outs for the speakers and the sync/power connector are found at the bottom of the Jam Jacket.

The center part is totally open for the iPhone’s touchscreen. Just above this opening are two slits, one for the ear piece of the iPhone and the other for the proximity sensor.

The top features a thicker band of silicon and recessed holes for the headphone jack and the power button.

On the left side, one will find the opening for the volume and mute toggle switch.

Now on the back is where we find the touted Headset Management System and an opening for the camera. The Headset Management System is an added square of silicon that sticks out an additional 1 ½ centimeters and provides a lattice for wrapping the iPhone’s headset around in a relatively streamlined fashion.
