The ATT Tilt / HTC TyTn II is a great phone overall, but one of the things that bugs me is the use of the mini-USB connection instead of a standard audio jack for using headphones. It's not just HTC either, many companies out there have 'forgotten' to include the audio jack on their phones as well.
Today for review I've got not only a a USB-3.5mm audio adapter for the ATT Tilt, but it actually has three connections on it, hence the very original product name of HTC 3-in-1 Combo USB Adapter. The 3-in-1 not only has the 3.5mm adapter but it also has a standard mini-USB connection and the mini-like 11-pin USB connector as well. So you could plug in your headphones, USB syncing cable and whatever else you want to, all at the same time.

A Better Look at Things

The HTC 3-in-1 Combo USB Adapter comes in an easy open plastic clamshell, nothing flashy just a basic package where you can see the product through the front and a basic list of specs and features listed on the back.
There's not much to it, just a USB connection on one end and the 3 ports on the other. It's small, lightweight and portable, and it seems to be well made.
The main part is the 3 ports, the top of the gadget has little pictures above the slots to let you know what each is for, while the bottom just has an identifying sticker.
The USB connection is the actual 11-pin connector and not a standard mini-USB connection so it will be compatible.

Installation and Testing:
There's not much to this product, just plug it into your phone and then plug other stuff into it, easy to use, no problems at all. It worked fine, I listened to music while my phone synced to my computer, it also charged the battery as well while it was hooked to my computer.
The sound seemed fine using the adapter, there was no difference between this adapter and using any other 3.5mm to USB adapter, so that's a good thing.
As I mentioned the device itself seems well made, it's small and portable so you can take it with you anywhere you go if need be.
That's it, there's nothing more to say really, it's a small little gadget that does what it should and does it well.
Summary:
The HTC 3-in-1 Combo USB Adapter is one of those little things that you either need or you don't, I mean yeah it can be useful at times but it's not something that I would carry around and use all of the time.
I guess if you needed to use headphones and sync your phone at the same time it's a great idea…
Overall though it's a nice little product that I'm sure people can find useful.
