In fact, early reports show that sales have tripled since the announcement of the price cuts. Unboxing

The case arrives in a zip lock plastic bag. Inside the silicon case is the standard iPhone card board image. You’ve seen it over a hundred times by now, the one with the fish swimming amongst the green algae.

The case is composed of a soft, rubbery silicon material. It features openings for the select button, the bottom connector/speakers, the camera, volume, mute, headphone jack and power button.

Installation, Testing and Comparison

Once the iPhone is surrounded by the Silicon Case, accessing all the features of the iPhone is very simple. All of the buttons are easily accessible and the openings align perfectly over the iPhone.

The case stretches right over the phone without any difficulty. In fact, after a few days, the case had a little too much laxity.

The thing I particularly enjoyed about the DLO JamJacket is the iPhone always felt secure in my hands. The Silicone Case from USBFever offers that same tactile security, however it does not seem to surround the iPhone in the same snug way. This may be due to the fact that there is less silicon material covering the front of the iPhone with the USBFever case.

Another drawback is that the case seems to be a magnet for dust and grit. After a little while, the soft silicon had a gritty layer of fine dust on it.

Summary and Comments:

The iPhone Silicon Case from USBFever is a nice simple case and will provide protection to the outside of the iPhone. It is not the best soft case, but certainly not the worst. The main drawback is the ability to attract and adhere to dust and small particles.

One of the pluses is that it is a relatively inexpensive case and can be purchased in one of several colors.

DragonSteelMods gives the iPhone Silicone Case a 3 out of 5 score.

Pros:

  • +Inexpensive
  • +Multiple Color Choices

Cons:

  • -Dust Magnet
  • -Tends to stretch out
